This Contract provided for the improvement of SR 20 from MP 113.50 to MP 114.00 in rural Skagit County that was damaged in a major flood event (November 2021) by reconstructing the roadway and constructing a soldier pile wall. This permanent repair work included mobilization, stormwater diversion, roadway excavation, placing borrow, subgrade rock, HMA paving, pavement markings, dewatering, constructing soldier wall with concrete fascia panels and permanent ground anchors, also roadside restoration, traffic control, erosion control. Work also included structure excavation, driving steel H-piles, installing wood lagging, dewatering, clearing and grubbing. Construction was completed under a one-way traffic controlled work zone.
